FAQ

DOES IT HURT?

Micropigmentation has made leaps in the area of numbing and topical anesthetics. There’s nothing to worry about. We believe our numbing process is as good as it gets. A top of the line topical anesthetic is used to maximize reducing any if at all discomfort. We hear it daily from clients that it wasn’t at all as painful as they thought. Many say that it’s no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezed.

HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS?

It is normal to experience some swelling and tenderness following your procedure. It doesn’t take very long for it to disappear. Immediately following your treatment the pigment will appear darker and brighter than how it will actually heal. Some people experience a little swelling or redness straight after their treatment. It soon disappears, though. You might also feel the pigment looks darker than you expected. Don’t worry. After a few days, the surface colour naturally exfoliates to leave a softer colour. After five days, the colour will actually be lighter than you want it to be. That is why a perfecting visit is necessary in order to achieve that richness of color.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST FOR?

Permanent makeup lasts for years. Keep in mind that as you become accustomed to your new makeup it is not uncommon to want more, or want to freshen up your new makeup every couple of years. The length of years your permanent makeup lasts is dependent on several factors including skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle.

WILL IT LOOK NATURAL?

Fallon prides doing the most natural work in the industry. So the answer is yes! It will absolutely look very natural! In choosing the right technician it is very important. It is vital that you go to an experienced technician with a proven track record of good work. About 30% of the clients who come to us are corrections after they’ve had a mediocre or less than satisfactory procedure done elsewhere.  Just remember, it’s really important to go to someone who can prove their track record and who you’ve heard good things about. I’ve had a number of people come to me for remedial work after they’ve had a less-than-satisfactory job done elsewhere. Permanent Makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Remember the color is placed “in” your skin and not “on” your skin the result is a more natural softer look. For special events or nights out, you can apply as much additional makeup as you like.

HOW DO YOU CHOOSE DESIGN & COLOURS?

You’re in luck! Fallon has been a make up artist most of her life. She’s spent years playing with colors and perfecting faces. Although permanent make up is different, she still relies on her knowledge of color theory and face morphology. We have a vast number of pigments, all of which can be mixed to create even more hues. Every face is different and Fallon takes great effort to ensure the color is just right for you. Designs are chosen to maximize the potential of your own face. Making a subtle change in the placement of the arch or elongating the brow itself can make an enormous difference in how you look. This is the most time consuming part of the procedure as well as the most important.

WHO IS PERMANENT MAKEUP FOR?

If you want to look your best anytime, anywhere it’s for you. If you want to shed off some years and look healthier, younger and fresher permanent makeup does wonders! If you’re a busy mom, business woman or have an active lifestyle you’ll save hours every week not having to stand in front of the mirror slaving over applying makeup. Not to mention you won’t have to worry about sweating it off during a workout or melting by the end of an evening out.

IS PERMANENT MAKEUP EXPENSIVE?

Fallon believes that people are looking for the highest possible quality of work. As stated, remember that this is your face and there is no room for compromise. Only the highest quality of work should suffice. When it comes to your face, accept nothing less than a first class result with no one else but a master practitioner. Remember this is your face, you want perfect permanent makeup.
